Secretary's Message
At the dawn of the 20th century there was not a single school in the whole of South India Managed and Maintained by Muslims in accordance with their tradition and culture and imparting secular education. The Muslims of Vaniyambadi fired by the inspiring lead given by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan rose as torch bearers of Muslim education. The V.M.E.Society was founded in 1903 immediately after the session of the All India Muslim Educational Conference held at Madras. One hundred years ago our forefathers with farsightedness and broadmindedness decided to impart secular education irrespective of caste, creed and colour. Thus Vaniyambadi came to be called the Aligarh of South.
Education gives us knowledge of world around us and changes it into something better. It develops in us perspective of looking at life. It helps us build opinions and have points of view.
