ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The UG Department of Mathematics was established in the year 2010 ,Post-Graduate program was started in the year 2013, There was a big demand for this course so B.Sc Mathematics additional section was started in the year 2016.
The Department was elevated into a research department in the year 2018 by offering M. Phil (full time).At present the UG department has 367 students, PG 47 students and M.Phil. one student.
Department petagogical practice include classroom interactions,ICT enabled teaching, paper presentation, quiz, conferences and seminars etc.
Also Mathematics Department prepare the students to rift the competitive exams like TNPSC,SET,CSIRetc. The Department also regularly invites outside speakers to address our students.Students are encouraged to participate in Mathematical conference , workshop and seminars. Apart from putting in constant efforts to help the students, teachers here are constantly engaged in research activities and updating themselves on the latest in the subject.
